00:21In her speech at the Climate Adaptability and Energy Forum

00:25at the World Government Summit in Dubai,

00:27the First Lady shared how the Philippines is affected

00:31by the effects of climate change.

00:33Just like the 6th quake in the country last year

00:37in just one month,

00:39where millions of Filipinos were affected.

00:42Climate change is not just about statistics.

00:46It is a human face.

00:48A face that belongs to millions of families

00:51suffering the consequences

00:54of a crisis that they did not create.

00:57The First Lady also cried in front of world leaders

01:00that the Philippines is committed to addressing the effects of climate change.

01:04She emphasized that the country's efforts

01:07to achieve a 75% reduction

01:10in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030

01:13and to strengthen communities to be resilient

01:16through the implementation of the National Adaptation Plan.

01:20Now, the First Lady emphasized that we need to help

01:24in addressing climate change.

01:26No country can solve this crisis alone.

01:29We need global solidarity.

01:31The time to act is now.

01:34Let's please harness innovation and collaborate across borders

01:39to develop real, lasting solutions.

01:42The First Spouse also emphasized the importance of sharing

01:46the knowledge of each country

01:47to address the crisis.

01:49Let us share our best practices and technologies

01:54to ensure a just energy transition.

01:57And lastly, let us please empower future generations

02:02with the knowledge and tools to tackle climate challenges head-on.

02:07I think we must all do our part

02:09and we must do it together.

02:11Let's not wait for another crisis to force us into action.

02:25when it comes to various issues,

02:27especially good governance and the issue of the environment.
