00:30We're very happy in Woodland.
00:32We actually bought the property back off plan years ago.
00:37We got the handover, and then we moved in two years later in 2018.
00:40Since then, we've actually seen the community grow and evolve.
00:44And the reason we liked this particular property is because of the layout.
00:49We were living in another community just down the road,
00:52and we felt this property was more spacious, more bang for the buck.
00:56And the amenities are amazing, to be honest with you.
00:58Our kids are very happy here.
01:00There's a large central park where kids can go and play,
01:03and there's a lot of amenities for them.
01:05Nice playground, soft play area, lots of swimming pools in the community.
01:09We've got lots of greenery, and we have a town center
01:12that meets our needs in terms of supermarket and snacks and restaurants and so on.
01:17I am a member of the owner's committee. I chair the owner's committee.
01:20We are a group of four gentlemen in the committee,
01:24and we each represent different clusters within Woodland.
01:27And our role is to advise the community management team
01:30on areas where we feel need improvement,
01:33where complaints aren't being taken care of appropriately,
01:36and how we can enhance the experience of residents in the community
01:40in terms of having more events and other things.
01:44We landed this property somewhere in the beginning of 2014.
01:50That's when we purchased it.
01:52Why we chose this was because, one, it was Dubai Properties,
01:56and this was projected as their flagship property at that time.
02:00And then it was built by Shapoji Palonji.
02:03This was also their biggest project in Dubai at that time.
02:06So the two giants coming together, we thought the quality would be good.
02:10And so far, we've been very happy.
02:12Over the years, we saw the community grow from a very bare desert community
02:18into a full-fledged, completely at home kind of villa compound now.
02:23The initial attraction, why we all came,
02:25Moodon promised us that 50% of the area would be green.
02:29So there was a Central Park promise. Part of it they've delivered already.
02:33The community is very well maintained, I must say.
02:36We often go for walks and stuff, and all the walkways are made,
02:42and everything, it is really taken care of.
02:45And they have constant trimming of the trees and everything.
02:49It's not abandoned at any point.
02:52Like, even during COVID time, we never faced any such things.
02:55I moved here with my family in 2017.
02:58The reason we decided to move to Moodon is because of the, you know, the bank for your bucks.
03:03So the size of the villa that we live in is larger than the apartment we were living in.
03:09We're a relatively similar rent back in 2017.
03:13We felt it was a good deal, especially since we were planning to grow our family and wanted more space.
03:19We really like living here because it's, you know, for us, it's been our home for five years.
03:24We feel the space is good.
03:26We have a, you know, family area upstairs,
03:28which is something that was a requirement for us on top of the bedrooms.
03:32We have a guest bedroom downstairs,
03:34which is helpful when you have parents visiting who are older in age,
03:38so they don't have to keep going up and down the stairs.
03:40We have the Blossom Nursery right next door,
03:43which is a walking distance from the house that we're renting,
03:45which is fantastic given that our child goes to the nursery here.
03:49But also we decided on Moodon because it was central between my previous job,
03:54which was in Jabal Ali Free Zone,
03:56and my new job back in 2017, which was Dubai Airport Free Zone.
04:01So it was a central location, which we felt was convenient.
04:04So we had options in the future.
