00:00A mother reunited with her boy after his father took him from Malaysia to Dubai.

00:07I'm Ali from Gulf News and we will meet the happy mother to tell her story.

00:12After one year of legal battle, on April, the Dubai Court of Personal Status awarded

00:18the custody to the Malaysian mother.

00:21On November, the mother finally reunited with her son at Dubai Police Headquarters after

00:27two years of separation.

00:28For the past two years, I've been fighting in court for the custody of my son.

00:34He was taken away from me, from Malaysia.

00:37The judgment came out in April 2020, but I wasn't able to come and receive my son because

00:43of coronavirus.

00:44Then, when the borders opened in July, I flew in on the first flight, but they couldn't

00:51locate my son and his father.

00:55His father has taken him away and I don't know where they have been.

01:02But finally today, the police called me up in the morning and told me that they have

01:06found my son.

01:07So, they asked me to go to the CID headquarters to collect him.

01:12I was very, very happy to finally have him back in my life again.

01:19I would also like to thank the Dubai Police for helping me search for my son.

01:24I thank them for their hard work and for their compassion.
