Nancy Grace Says New Blood Evidence in Idaho Murder Case Is for Shock Value

Bryan Kohberger's defense team is "really spinning" the recent news that blood from two unidentified males was collected from the crime scene where four Idaho students were brutally slain -- but it's all smoke and mirrors, so says Nancy Grace.

00:12They are now attacking a judge that declared PC probable cause in a search and arrest warrant

00:19claiming the judge was not told about the mystery DNA.

00:24Okay, well, number one, it didn't matter because Koberger's DNA is found on the sheath of the

00:31murder weapon under the victim's body.

00:34As Judge Shilpler pointed out, that is probable cause every day and twice on Sunday.

00:41His words, not mine.

00:42There is probable cause and there was no need to put additional extrinsic evidence in the

00:49affidavit for probable cause because that cause was to arrest and search Koberger, nobody

00:57else.

00:58All that's needed in that affidavit is a probable cause to arrest or search Brian Koberger.

01:08What does this mean?

01:11That's what that is.

01:13The DNA, the mystery DNA of a male and yes, you can tell from blood whether it's male

01:20or female.

01:22One speck of blood was found on the banister, the handrail.

01:27That is at least four stories.

01:29We've got the ground floor where two witnesses survived, the first floor and then the upper

01:36floor.

01:37Where on the handrail?

01:38Down in the basement?

01:39I don't know.

01:41Then blood evidence, excuse me, DNA evidence, not sure it's blood evidence, was found on

01:47a glove out in the parking lot.

01:50You know, when I covered the case when it first happened, I actually dropped this in

01:57the parking lot, this, this glove.

02:01Anybody can drop a glove in a parking lot.

02:05In fact, one of our guests took a photo of a glove he spotted in the parking lot right

02:11after the murders, completely unrelated to the case.

02:15So what does this mystery DNA mean?

02:19Nothing.

02:20The shock value means everything because the defense will be able to argue in opening statements,

02:27it's not our client, there are two other male DNA donors at the scene.

02:34And we don't even know who they are.

02:36That's that's what's going to happen.

02:39Does is it probative?

02:40In other words, does it prove anything?

02:41No.
