Pros & cons of the top offensive tackles in the 2025 NFL Draft

Offensive line is a perennial need for any NFL team, and there's several good offensive tackle prospects that should be available when the Cowboys are on the clock in April. Broaddus & Wolchuk discuss the top OT prospects in this year's NFL Draft, their pros and cons, and which one might be the best fit with the Cowboys.

00:18This is from Pro Football Focus, and they've got the strengths and weaknesses for the top

00:26offensive tackles in this draft.

00:29Okay, so tackles specifically.

00:31Yeah, tackles specifically.

00:33And the problem I'm having with this right now is I'm scared to death of a lot of these

00:38guys.

00:39But I know that potentially Dallas could be looking at this spot, right?

00:44I mean, we could be looking at one of these guys.

00:46They could be.

00:47They could be.

00:48I mean, they're definitely, I would think, going to need a guard if Zach Martin's not

00:52back.

00:53Okay.

00:54But yeah, you could be looking at a tackle.

00:55Yeah, okay.

00:56Or maybe we move one of these tackles.

00:57Maybe you move a tackle.

00:58Okay, they went through like five offensive tackles.

01:03Okay, their offensive tackle one is Will Campbell from LSU.

01:09Okay, now, I'll go through the weakness.

01:13Let me just go through the weakness of that, of the player, okay?

01:17And you tell me if they've got this guy right, all right?

01:20Because I've got my thoughts about him, too.

01:22But I want to talk about his weakness.

01:26Higher pre-snap stance leads to high pad level when engaging.

01:32Arm length could be shorter than his 6'6 frame suggests.

01:37Has some lack of flexibility in his body to stretch his kick and protect the outside shoulder.

01:46That sound like Will Campbell to you a little bit?

01:48Yeah, because I have in my notes, poor hand placement can be a problem, will get his hands

01:52caught outside at times.

01:54All the time, it seems like.

01:57And yes, he can be a little late with his backpedal.

01:59I have that note in there, too.

02:01And I absolutely hate his stance.

02:03That two-point stance.

02:04I hate it.

02:05Yeah.

02:06He just stands upright.

02:09But still, are the other things positive about him?

02:13First-round player under board?

02:15Really strong.

02:16Yeah, I mean, I think he's got a good pace.

02:18He's good against speed rushers.

02:21I think he's another guy that I would look to maybe kick inside the guard, though.
