00:00Two submarines were planned to be added by the Armed Forces of the Philippines to the military's use as part of the modernization.

00:07According to AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo Browner Jr.,

00:11there is now a way to have additional funds to buy two diesel-electric type submarines of the AFP.

00:18Browner Jr. also gave that the two submarines are important because the Philippines is surrounded by the sea.

00:25This year, the delivery of two new corvettes from South Korea is expected.

00:29BRP Miguel Malvar will also arrive in March.

00:33There will also be new landing dock ships and six offshore patrol vessels.

00:37There are 35 billion pesos in excess funds for the AFP modernization now in 2025.
