Right, so that's another important win in the league. How would you sum up the team's performance today?
00:05
Really good, yeah. One of our better performances today, especially off the ball. We were really
00:11
on it today, our bite was really good in terms of pressing and closing them down and
00:17
yeah, obviously on the ball we did really well, scored three goals but probably could
00:21
have scored a couple more and then a little bit annoyed to concede the goal at the end of the
00:26
game but yeah, we would have taken three goals before the game.
00:29
Were there any standout performers out there today?
00:32
One of those games there probably wasn't. I think like, you know, I'd say collectively we were on it.
00:39
Really happy with the shape and really happy with how everybody worked and
00:43
like I said, especially off the ball. But yeah, obviously you know, Maka, George and
00:48
Ibra got the goals which is our front three, so really pleased with that. But yeah, there probably
00:54
wasn't, I wouldn't say any standout performers but it was an all-round good performance.
00:59
Yeah and looking forward to Newport Saints next, what are you expecting from that game?
01:03
Oh, a tough one. We played them last week in the cup and albeit the result was 6-1,
01:08
they did have a pair sent off. They were a good outfit in the first half so we've got to be on
01:15
our game to go down there and get the three points. Yeah and then going into, we've got a
01:22
tough run of games now so, you know, we've got to keep winning to make sure that every game's
01:26
important. Every game's, you know, yeah, we've just got to keep taking them off really.
01:32
See where we end up and yeah, hopefully we get into the cup finals that we're in as well.
01:37
Right, so how do you think you performed today?
01:39
I thought I played quite well. I thought on the ball I was pretty good. I played nice through
01:44
balls and committed defenders. I thought I could have improved on my finishing, a few decent chances.
01:50
One saved off the line by the goalie and the other one from the corner going top bins but
01:57
the keeper saved it. But I did get my goal in the end so I was quite happy about that.
02:01
How do you think the team performed today?
02:02
I thought we started really well. When we get the ball down on the floor and we're playing
02:08
it into each other's feet, trusting each other, creating chances, we can play any team in our
02:13
league off the park. Obviously towards the end the standard dropped a bit but it's to be expected
02:19
when we're freeing up.
02:21
And just looking at the game ahead against Newport Saints, what do you expect from that game?
02:25
I think we can't underestimate them. I know we've beaten them twice already this season but
02:30
both games they've united, they've created chances so we need to be on it from the start.
