00:00UK chipmaker ARM has reportedly told its staff to stop working with Huawei, the Chinese smartphone

00:08giant, in order to comply with US trade restrictions. According to documents obtained by the BBC,

00:14the chipmaker, based in the UK, reportedly told its staff to cease all contracts with

00:19Huawei in order to be compliant given that some of its parts had US origins. The move,

00:26if it proves to be long-term, could be an insurmountable blow to Huawei's mobile phone

00:31business, according to one analyst. The UK chipmaker, whose technology forms the underlying

00:38basis for many, many smartphones chips around the world, is described as one of the largest

00:43UK tech companies, employing over 6,000 people at a number of offices in the UK. The Sharjah

00:49real estate developer Arada has said today that it has secured a one billion dirham loan.

00:55The loan comes in two parts, two syndicated loans arranged by Mashrek Bank, one a 600

01:00million dirham loan and the other a 400 million dirham loan. The money, the company said,

01:05will go towards developing its two projects in Sharjah. And lastly, despite going into

01:11administration in the UK, Jamie Oliver's Italian restaurant here in Dubai will remain unaffected,

01:17according to members of staff working at the restaurant. Apparel Group, the owner of the

01:22franchise here in Dubai, declined to comment when contacted by Golf News. But the manager

01:27or supervisor of the restaurant said that as a franchise it would be unaffected by the

01:32bankruptcy of the UK division. Over 1,300 jobs are expected to be at risk in the UK
