00:00The new 17,000-seat Coca-Cola Arena, earlier called Dubai Arena, is set to open in CityWalk
00:10this June.
00:14The arena is a multi-purpose venue that will add a new destination to the entertainment
00:19scene in Dubai, and will revolutionize the live entertainment industry in the UAE and
00:23throughout the Middle East.
00:26As we are today, we'd have 5,000 standing for an end-stage concert, with another 5,000
00:31on Level 1, and then another 5,000 roughly on Level 4, and then the sweet hole, the VIP
00:37level, would be around 1,500 to 2,000.
00:39So that's kind of the breakdown of the 17,000 full capacity.
00:43But that can vary based on, we have a drape system which can take out Level 4, we have
00:48a drape system which comes down the room, which can bring the stage kind of closer to
00:52the middle.
00:53So you see a stage or performance area can be in the round as a sporting event or a boxing
00:57event or, you know, some musicians are playing in the round these days as well, not many
01:01but some.
01:02So it's really very variable.
01:03We'll get a technical rider for every event that we see, or technical specifications,
01:07and we'll build the event based around those technical specifications and make sure we
01:10can deliver based on their production.
01:12Capable of hosting live shows 365 days a year, the fully air-conditioned arena with automated
01:18seating design means it can be adapted to international and local events of all sizes,
01:22from sporting tournaments, e-gaming, comedy and live theatre, and musical performances
01:27to conferences, gala dinners, AGMs, and weddings.
01:31Russell Peters and Maroon 5 are the first two acts announced to perform in June.
01:35We're never going to have an event calendar which is going to be announced in one go,
01:38you know.
01:39So it's going to be event activity which is going to, on an ongoing basis, keep continually
01:42being added.
01:43So we need to be busy, you know, you don't build a building like this to make sure that
01:46it's not busy.
01:47So we'll be driving a pretty high volume number of events in this market in year one.
01:52What's the parking situation going to be like at this venue?
01:55Sure.
01:56Yeah, so we're working closely with the RTA, we're working in terms of building traffic
02:00management planning and, you know, one of the key messages will be around looking at
02:04alternate options rather than driving and parking directly in the venue.
02:07So, you know, we see, really excited by being in City Walk in a really vibrant precinct
02:12and there's a lot of activity pre and post events for people to be engaging with.
02:16So, you know, we'll be managing that process, we'll be communicating with ticket holders
02:20in terms of options around taxis and, you know, ride sharing and the Metro because we're
02:27very closely approximated to the Metro as well.
02:29So that'll be part of our core messaging that goes out in terms of how we work through that
02:32process.
02:33Is there an exact number of actual parking spots?
02:35Yeah, the parking spots relative to the building will be to service, obviously, hospitality
02:39suites and sponsors and other activity.
02:42And so from a public parking point of view, you know, we'll be sharing messaging around
02:45other parking opportunities.
02:46So no specific parking for the public?
02:47That's right.
02:49Coca-Cola Arena is a five-minute walk from the closest Dubai Metro station and will be
02:54connected through a direct pedestrian bridge that can accommodate 17,000 people at a time.
