00:00So today we're at the Owls Club Dubai for the Chicks With Sticks second annual summer

00:10party.

00:11The format is a team of four scramble so it's very friendly for beginner golfers and we

00:17have approximately 40 ladies playing today so thrilled with the turnout.

00:22Everyone seems to be having a great time out on the course despite the 40 degrees temperatures.

00:28Some people have even like dressed up there's some costumes out there there's even a team

00:33dressed up as the UAE flag so yeah it's great to see everyone you know gaining so much enjoyment

00:39out of the sport.

00:40We're finishing off a great year of golf here at the Owls Club with this season finale party.

00:47They're getting on great I mean it's amazing to see girls who just started golf in the

00:51last few months you know out here today playing on the course playing with other ladies who

00:55they didn't know you know a few months back.

00:57Honestly it's a credit to the amazing coaches in the Claude Harman Academy and in Abu Dhabi

01:03Golf Club there they're amazing so big thank you to them.

01:08And it's great to see you know expats people from all over the world you know mingling

01:12together and coming together to play golf it's great.

01:22As I said way back Chicks With Sticks kind of happened very like organically it was never

01:26meant to be a thing so I'm kind of trying to keep on that trend of not pushing things

01:31too much and just seeing where it grows kind of naturally.

01:34Our numbers have stayed very steady our merchandise is almost up and running so that was a huge

01:39goal of mine I guess because I love a pop of style.

01:43My main goal I guess is to see ladies enjoying the sport and that still you know remains

01:49on trend as well so we're very good at the social element as you know but we're building

01:53on that all the time we're kind of looking at having like monthly social gatherings not

01:57just at golf events but other leisure facilities across the UAE and we're also looking at building

02:02on the wellness and fitness side of the community so we've had some yoga events we've had a

02:07running event so yeah let's see where that goes.

02:11I guess we've created this community of like-minded women and all my friends in Ireland are dying

02:16to have Chicks With Sticks back there so stay tuned.

02:20People are always asking me am I going to grow to more locations in the UAE people who

02:25know me well know I'm an open book like I don't know I might let's see you know if the

02:30interest in is there I definitely will and yeah I just really want to just keep growing

02:35on the like momentum that we have here going at the moment and just keep having a good time.
