00:10Turkey's Central Bank announced a raft of measures today aimed at calming markets rattled

00:15by the precipitous plunge of the Turkish Lira.

00:19But the embattled currency came under new pressure in early trade.

00:23In early European trade, the Lira was trading at 6.6 to the dollar, a loss of another 3.3

00:30percent on the day, but recovering from even sharper losses in earlier Asian trade.

00:36The Lira struck a record low of 7.2362 to the dollar in Asian markets.

00:42In its first statement since what was dubbed Black Friday in Turkey, the Central Bank said

00:47it was ready to take all necessary measures to ensure financial stability.

00:54The UAE launched the UAE Youth Global Initiative on Sunday to mark World Youth Day.

00:59His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy

01:04Supreme Commander of the UAE, tweeted the initiative on Sunday.

01:09He said,

01:10It will help our youth use their full potential to enhance the UAE's reputation and spread

01:15awareness of its values and heritage as well as the all-round progress it has achieved.

01:23British actor Idris Elba is stoking speculation he may take over the role of James Bond when

01:29Daniel Craig steps aside.

01:31The star on Sunday posted a selfie under the words,

01:34My name's Elba, Idris Elba, echoing the spy's famous catchphrase.

01:39His enigmatic Twitter post fuelled the buzz about him becoming the first black Bond.

01:45American film producer Antoine Fuqua also stoked long-running speculation about Elba

01:50taking on the role last week.

01:53And finally, the weather.
