00:11The so far fruitless search for a missing Malaysian airline has entered its fourth day
00:15today. Sources in Europe, the United States and Asia have voiced growing scepticism that
00:21the flight lost with 239 people on board was a target of an attack. The massive search
00:26has drawn in navies, military aircraft, coast guard and civilian vessels from 10 nations
00:32but failed to turn up any trace of the Boeing 777 that vanished about an hour into a flight

00:42The search was widened on Tuesday to a large swath of the Gulf of Thailand, the South China
00:47Sea and the western coast of Malaysia. Fake drug manufacturers are targeting expensive
00:52medicines such as those used for cancer, an expert has warned. Such drugs will either
00:56dissolve in water, have only sugar syrup or could have just 20 per cent of the active
01:01ingredients, Albert I. Wertheimer, Professor of Pharmaconomics at Temple University in
01:07Philadelphia said. He said some counterfeit drugs could make patients' conditions worse.
01:12An Egyptian court has ordered the release on bail of Ahmed Ez, a right-hand man to former
01:17President Hosni Mubarak. Ez was a steel tycoon, former lawmaker and powerbroker and the best-known
01:24face of the public corruption that flourished around Mubarak.
01:27Emirates REIT, the Sharia-compliant real estate investment trust, announced on Tuesday its
01:32intention to list on Nasdaq Dubai. New shares in Emirates REIT will be offered as part of
01:38the listing to a number of institutional and professional investors in certain jurisdictions,
01:43it said. The company intends to raise a minimum of 500 million dirhams and use the proceeds
01:48to fund future acquisitions.
01:51Entertainment and Taylor Swift has added another award to her pile. She was announced as the
01:55winner of Billboard magazine's annual Moneymakers ranking of musicians who reaped the biggest
02:00paydays during 2013. Swift's take is tallied at $39.7 million. The calculation combines
02:06Swift's revenue from music sales, publishing and streaming royalties and concert tickets.
