A 13-year-old fashion enthusiast from Lancashire is embracing vintage style, dressing in 1950s outfits, crocheting, and shunning modern trends like having a TV in her room.

Mia Rayne, inspired by a video on vintage dolls, has built a collection of over 50 dresses, sourced with her mother, Jodie, from Vinted and vintage stores.

Despite being teased at school, Mia remains confident, even doubling down on her unique fashion choices.

Her story has gained widespread support online, encouraging others to embrace their individuality.

Aspiring to be an actor, Mia hopes to inspire people to wear what makes them happy.

00:00Hi, my name is Mia Raine, I'm a vintage teen and I like vintage dresses and vintage lifestyle.
00:12Hi my name is Jodie, I am Mia's mum and I am the one who funds and organises her vintage
00:19lifestyle. We started finding things online through places that were like Sheen and got
00:28told very quickly that that wasn't the best place for us to go so we ended up finding
00:34a local-ish shop and we were able to start building her very very colourful wardrobe.
00:42So quite a lot of the pieces are either sent to us from her lovely followers or they are
00:49from an actual vintage shop. My favourite outfit would probably be this one that was
00:55sent to me by a follower. I like my bumblebee dress, oh and my sailor outfit because I like
01:01feeling like a sailor tomboy. So you like them because of the various types of fabrics? I also
01:07like wool because wool can be very stretchy but it keeps me warm and I'm always cold. But you like
01:12the ruffles don't you in clothes and layers, she loves the ruffles. I love lace and I love collars
01:18and I love bows and flowers and blue. The style we've come to conclusion that it's very feminine,
01:24very modest, very covered up and fitted. She likes the fitted style. Well sometimes I like
01:31dresses like dolly dresses where it's like from up here and then it goes out because that makes
01:38me feel pretty like a princess. I know this is a weird thing to say but it makes me feel comfortable
01:45like I'm at home. Like anytime I'd wear something else I just didn't feel as comfortable. I could
01:51never like really find myself and I've actually found myself at a very young age which is it's
01:55kind of hard to do and I have figured out that I like this style because I saw a bunch of videos
02:03and I figured out I liked it. I think all the British people of the world are going oh I've
02:10got to put my pinky up. She was always taught by my my Nana and Pops that she had to put her
02:17pinky up. Anytime I drink tea now all I can think about is them.
