00:08President Donald Trump's travel ban faced its toughest test yet as a panel of appeals
00:13court judges hammered away at the administration's claim that the ban was motivated by terrorism
00:17fears.
00:18The contentious hearing before three judges on the San Francisco-based Ninth Circuit Court
00:23of Appeals focused on whether a restraining order issued by a lower court should remain
00:27in effect while a challenge to the ban proceeds.
00:30But the judges also jumped into the larger constitutional questions surrounding Trump's
00:35order.
00:36A decision by the Ninth Circuit was likely to come later this week, court spokesman David
00:40Madden said.
00:41The countdown continues to pick up the costliest penthouse in Dubai, a 62,000 square feet unit
00:47on the palm and with a base price of 180 million dirhams.
00:51It will be part of the underdevelopment 1.9 billion dirham One Palm project.
00:57Hadi Amjad, executive chairman and CEO of Omniat Properties, which is building the project,
01:02said the penthouse can even be carved up into two or three units.
01:06Malawi's high court has granted Madonna permission to adopt twins from the southern African country.
01:11The US singer has previously adopted two children from Malawi, stirring anger among some Malawians
01:16who accused the government of allowing her to skirt laws that ban non-residents from
01:20adopting.
01:21Madonna, 58, has two other children, Lourdes and Rocco, from previous relationships.
01:26And finally, the weather today is high across the UAE, it will be 23 degrees celsius dropping
01:30to 14 degrees at night.
