00:00In Between Wars, a new interactive exhibition that highlights the everyday struggle of Palestinians
00:10in the Occupied Territories, has been brought to the UAE by Médecins Sans Frontières.
00:15The exhibition, which has travelled from Paris to Amman, Jordan, and has now come to Dubai,
00:20aims to give visitors an idea of the traumatic conditions those living in the Occupied Territories
00:24face on a daily basis.
00:27From walking through the volatile streets of the West Bank and witnessing bombs dropping
00:30over Gaza, to stepping into a reconstructed MSF clinic and hearing testimonies of its
00:35patients.
00:36It's an audio-guided tour through different scenes in the exhibitions.
00:44Throughout those different scenes, we try to address different issues, the everyday
00:49life, the difficulty maybe, of course, of the people living there, and our job as doctors,
00:58which is also sometimes very difficult.
01:02MSF clinics in the Occupied Territories support war-wounded civilians through a variety of
01:06forms, from surgery and post-operative care, to specialised dressings, occupational therapy
01:12and physiotherapy, as well as mental health counselling.
01:16Without this aid, many Palestinians would get little or no medical support.
01:19With the blockade on Gaza making it incredibly difficult for hospitals to gain the necessary
01:23medication and supplies.
01:26In Between Wars is open to the public until November 28th at the Jamjar in al-Sakal Avenue,
01:31Al-Qoz.
01:32Entrance is free for all.
