00:00Good day, welcome to the Golf News update for Tuesday April 5th. Here are the top stories
00:06at this hour.
00:08Several countries have launched tax evasion probes after a massive leak of confidential
00:12documents lifted the lid on the murky offshore financial dealings of a slew of politicians
00:18and celebrities.
00:19The scandal erupted when media groups began revealing the results of a year-long investigation
00:25into a trove of 11.5 million documents from the Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca, which
00:31specialises in creating offshore shell companies.
00:34Amongst those named in the Panama Papers are close associates of Russian President Vladimir
00:38Putin, relatives of Chinese leader Xi Jinping, and Iceland's Prime Minister Sigmundur David
00:44Gunnlaugsson, as well as Barcelona striker Lionel Messi.
00:48Saudi Arabia's Aviation Authority has said it has banned Iran's Mahan Air from using
00:53its airports and airspace over safety concerns. The General Authority for Civil Aviation said
00:59it decided to stop permits granted to Iran's Mahan Air, ban it from landing in the kingdom's
01:03airports and passing through its airspace.
01:07If there's one thing that omnipresent Kardashians are obsessed about as selfies, it's Dubai.
01:12From restaurant and store openings to perfume launches, the Kalan, it seems, can't quite
01:16get enough of the UAE.
01:19That's probably why Kris Jenner is returning on April 10th with Keeping Up With The Kardashians
01:23crew in tow to launch a new venture. Kris will announce her venture with the Dubai-based
01:29reality show producer Carla DiBello, someone Kim often refers to as a BFF. There will be
01:35a red carpet event on April 12th to announce the new venture and a press conference on
01:39April 17th.
01:41And finally, the weather. Today's high across the UAE will be 28 degrees Celsius, dropping
01:46to 18 degrees at night.
