The Dubai World Cup isn't just horses, jockeys, and rich prizes.
00:12
It is also about style and fashion trends.
00:15
Jaguar once again hosted the region's most anticipated fashion event at the World Cup,
00:19
the Jaguar Style Stakes.
00:21
A must-attend event for any self-respecting fashionista, the event was held at the Jaguar
00:26
Style Stakes Arena at the Maidan Racecourse.
00:29
There were winners in different categories, Best Dressed Lady, Best Dressed Man, Best
00:34
Dressed Couple, Best Hat, Most Creative Hat, and Long Jeans' Most Elegant Lady.
00:39
Surprisingly, it was the men who took it upon themselves to add fun and frolic to the evening.
00:43
This is going to be the new black, yellow is kind of like a powerful color, yeah I believe
00:49
that.
00:50
When you walk down on the stage, you got to be smart, yeah, do some acting, you know,
00:54
do some movement, move the bag, bring it down there, just be funny.
00:58
The judges loved his cheeky enthusiasm.
01:01
I think the reason we chose the winner is because of his character, and I think what
01:04
really was nice is that, you know, he put on a little bit of a show there on the catwalk,
01:07
because he showed off his personality, which was really nice.
01:10
In terms of the dress, he went all out in terms of the details, like you get the red
01:13
line across throughout the suit, I know that color might not be liked by everyone else,
01:18
but for us it was something different, so I think that was a nice thing about that as well.
01:21
While the men were appreciated for their adventurous tricks, the lady who won the Best Dressed
01:25
was strictly conventional.
01:27
When you come to races and also, you know, being in Dubai in the Middle East, you have
01:32
to mix the modern and also think of, you know, how the culture is and, you know, what Dubai
01:38
represents, and I didn't want something which shows a lot of skin, and I just wanted something
01:43
elegant and something that represents me, and this really just represents me.
01:47
For me, this is the color that I thought, you know, felt right, but girl, you know,
01:52
whatever color expresses who you are and you've got big, bold personality, then wear those
01:56
colors.
01:57
You know, find a shape or cut that really fits your body and that makes you feel 100%
02:01
confident so you can rock it on the stage.
02:03
So find outfits that work for you and then let your personality come out, because that's
02:07
what fashion does.
02:08
The winners in the Best Dressed category get to drive a Jaguar F-Type Coupes sports car
02:12
for six months.
02:14
Two ladies who respectively won Best Hat and the Most Creative Hat share the inspiration
02:18
behind their beautiful hats.
02:19
It feels amazing, especially because I'm a milliner, so I've made my millinery piece,
02:23
so it's just really fitting that I won this category today.
02:26
Yeah, so it's a bit of an art deco feel with metallics, and I thought metallics were in
02:30
this season, but also I love vintage, so yeah, it all came together.
02:34
I'm very happy.
02:35
I came from Germany, over here, especially for the World Cup, and it's designed by my
02:40
mother, Tatiana Isay, and therefore I'm very proud.
02:43
Meanwhile, Tunisian actress Abir Binani walked home with the Most Elegant Lady title and
02:48
is now the proud owner of a long-jeans watch.
02:50
It's a mix of many things.
02:52
It's the attitude, plus what you're wearing.
02:55
It's the details, how you match jewelry.
02:58
It's very important to match many details that certain people, they don't see.
03:03
Nails, how you walk, how you sit.
03:08
It's about attitude.
03:09
That's the most thing.
03:10
The judging panel was composed of experts from the fashion industry and members of the
03:14
media who was looking for style, creativity, immaculate presentation, and flair across
03:19
the six categories.
03:20
Irish Eden Belieza for tabloid.
