00:00The first ever Arab-Indo-Bollywood Awards in Dubai gather some of India's biggest and

00:17brightest stars and filmmakers.

00:19The celebrities were hugged the limelight during the gold carpet Friday night at Maidan

00:24Racecourse.

00:25Among the Bollywood stars who graced the gold carpet include Varun Dhawan and Shraddha

00:29Kapoor, stars of the upcoming ABCD2 movie.

00:33Tabloid talked to some of the celebrities about their thoughts on the inaugural event.

00:37I'm excited to host the Golden Carpet only because it's just a whole bunch of people

00:41who I know who will be coming and I'll be just getting out some really fun details from

00:45them.

00:46So it's all about having fun more than anything else.

00:47The bond will get better.

00:48I guess there's already a lot of Bollywood lovers and there's a lot of people who, between

00:50both the countries, you know, who kind of visit each other and all.

00:51But I guess something like this, once it's instituted and it's a little regular, so you

00:52have more inflow and influx of people coming and watching.

00:53And, you know, in a couple of years they've also got a Bollywood theme park coming.

00:54Right.

00:55So that's also going to bring in a lot of, you know, people to come and the whole scenario

00:56of Indo-Arab scenario might get improved in that sense.

00:57This is the first time you're doing this, right?

01:24It's interesting because, you know, there's involvement of the Arab people and indian

01:25diaspora from Arabia where they can vote for their favorite stars.

01:26I think it'll grow and it'll be a pretty potent platform for the love between the Arab

01:31and the Bollywood industries.

01:32It's a blessing I think not only to be, you know, having a hit in India but across the

01:39world, globe, wherever we're going so Mumbai is, like, Bollywood's favorite place to hang

01:46out because it's very close to Mumbai and it is the shopping hub of the world

01:50and the best food and everything it's crazy so we love Dubai and to be here

01:54and getting an award is the biggest honor we love we are thankful to AIBA

01:58it's a great great effort and we'll always be there with AIBA. I think any any

02:03kind of event where they get people together and they celebrate cinema is

02:06good so more the merrier. People come out here, our films reach here, wider the reach, good for all of us.

02:14Actually for me, Dubai is the filmistan. It's like a no man's land where Indians and Pakistanis come together without inhibition.
