00:23I'm Nirmala Devi Rathore, excuse me,
00:26if you don't mind.
00:29Your new physiotherapist, Dr. Chakravarthy,
00:32will be arriving day after tomorrow.
00:43It's the first Disney branded film in India
00:45from Bollywood.
00:46Vivaad and I have the privilege of being a part
00:48of a really big first.
00:49It's a romantic fairy tale,
00:51it has all the Disney values
00:53and it's a really sweet happy film that'll make you you know smile at the
00:59end of it. The biggest thing is that it is actually a family entertainer you can
01:03just like go groups and clusters of people from five years of age to 65
01:08years of age everyone would enjoy it and it's a it's a nice you know romantic
01:13Disney fairy tale set in that same tradition but obviously it has the quirks
01:18of Millie. It's an ode to Rishikesh Mukherjee films that's why my name is
01:23Millie it's another Rishikesh Mukherjee film and obviously there's an inspiration
01:27on making a simple you know fairytale I think that's what Rishikesh Mukherjee
01:33was known for he made these you know really simple films but they had a
01:38fairytale element to it whether it was a Goody whether it was a Khubsura whether
01:41it was a Millie they were like really sweet films and they were you know
01:45driven by love and they were driven by great family values and I think that's
01:51what Khubsura is. It's an ode to Rishikesh Mukherjee films just to be safe we
01:55bought the rights to the 1980 Rekha film.
02:01It's a Disney film and it's a love story and it's inspired Rishikesh Mukherjee
02:06films there's always a happily ever after and I think that's the amazing
02:10thing about you know love and I think that's what's missing that sometimes
02:14when there are stories which are which have us with movies which have a
02:18storyline these days there isn't much of a happily ever after and I think in this
02:24film I think we're trying to do that have an happily ever after where
02:27everything gets tied up in a beautiful neat bow when I entered this industry
02:34even though I was everybody thought I was put together two years later was
02:38when I came and everybody said what are these weird clothes that she wears why
02:41does she never have a hair blow-dried and down you know why does she dress
02:45like that what is this makeup that she keeps on doing why doesn't she have a
02:47smoky eye all the time and I just stuck to being who I am and that sets a trend
02:53I guess to a certain extent when you don't follow the beaten path and I think
02:58then from being a misfit you you kind of become somebody who I don't know either
03:04is sounding extremely immodest you you set trends I think that's what it is or
03:08choose the kind of films that you do or say what I want to say and have an
03:11opinion and be an individual I think that is when you are like a part of the
03:17herd I think you always be a misfit you don't fit anywhere and I think in a lot
03:22of ways I've never been a part of the herd I don't think I mean even if I
03:26wanted to and even if I thought that maybe I should become a little more
03:29conventional and do everything that comes my way I don't think I'd be very
03:34happy and I don't think I'd have much of a life so I rather I'm quite satisfied
03:39and quite content with where I am right now not just me not just Sona I think
03:42everyone thinks that being a misfit is actually a compliment being because
03:49otherwise if you fit you fit in convention and so-called you know the
03:53modern perception of normalcy and that kind of takes away your individuality so
03:57I'd always like to think of myself as a misfit I was back in the day when when
04:03when we you know came in who's just introducing metal music people like what
04:07is this what is this noise and a lot of people still think that but that's sort
04:11of you know but I feel that everyone carries an individual culture inside
04:16them and that being in a global village in order to identify yourself as an
04:20individual to be I'd be able to identify yourself as a unique person you need to
04:25be a misfit so if I'm not a misfit I think that's that's a terrible thing and
04:31I'd love to be a misfit and I think I consider myself to be one and for all
04:35those people out there who do think that being a misfit is something wrong no
04:39that's just the path to genius hi I'm Sonam Kapoor I'm Prabhat Khan and you're
04:42watching GN TV
04:50I think I spoke a little too much
04:52No, no, you were absolutely correct
