00:04The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation or PhilHealth has announced the inclusion
00:08of preventive oral health services and pediatric optometric services in its benefit packages.
00:14According to the health insurer, members can now avail of services such as free tooth extractions,
00:20cleaning and other oral care procedures as well as pediatric optometric services which
00:25are now covered by PhilHealth and will allow children aged 0 to 15 years old to receive
00:30free consultations and eyeglasses.
00:33Meanwhile the health insurer will also strengthen physical medicine, rehabilitation and urges
00:38medical clinics to seek accreditation as consultation facilities to enhance service accessibility.
