00:00It will be known at the end of February if the Department of Agriculture will put a maximum suggested retail price on pork.
00:09In a recent palace briefing, Agriculture Secretary Francisco Chu Laurel Jr. said that they need two weeks to study and discuss the reason for the increase in the price of pork.
00:23Laurel Jr. insisted that they will immediately issue a maximum SRP on pork if they find out that there is a profit T-Ring.
00:32It was also said that the farmgate price of pork is around Php 240 to Php 250 per kilo.
00:40Therefore, the price should not be reduced from Php 380 to Php 420 per kilo.
00:47As of February 6, one kilo of pork calcium in Metro Manila is Php 345 to Php 420 while pork limpo is Php 380 to Php 480 per kilo.
