00:10Yeah, you know, as it gets here right now, more and more players keep on dropping out

00:20It does start Wednesday and I think once it gets going, Scott, people will get into it.

00:24There's a lot of apathy right now before this and or anger.

00:28The ticket prices are too high.

00:31They're having a hard time selling tickets right now in Montreal for this.

00:34They overcharge people, right?

00:36So they sold, they sold the USA Canada game without any problems, but they can't expect

00:41people to pay $400 to watch Finland and Sweden in Montreal, Quebec, right?

00:46So the NHL PA got greedy.

00:48What a shock.

00:49And the NHL didn't do a good job of promoting this shock point to 2.0 here, right?

00:57These guys like it's, it's amazing how they just find ways to make things harder on themselves,

01:08It's not some sort of world championships going off four teams in here.

01:12You don't have the Czech Republic.

01:14You don't have Slovakia, Slovenia, and you know, and Russia, which is pretty, you know,

01:19Russia pretty good at hockey.

01:20So it is what it is, but Finland and Sweden don't like each other for real.

01:26And Canada and the USA have a burgeoning rivalry right now.

01:29The USA have really, really come on as of late, and it would bother Canada if the U.S.

01:35won this thing.

01:36This is one of these deals where Canada's players are kind of in a weird spot, Scott.

01:41If they win, nobody will care.

01:44People will be like, yeah, big deal.

01:45Good for you.

01:46You won a four team tournament.

01:47Good for you.

01:49If they lose, they're going to get ripped, right?

01:51They're in a no win situation.

01:53The U.S. comes into this, I think, kind of, Canada are technically the favorites, guys,

01:57according to the sports books, a little bit, but I would say that the U.S. have a better

02:02roster than Canada.

02:03I think they're deeper than Canada, but it doesn't mean they're going to win.

02:08Like, and we'll get to it, Scott, all, you know, later in the week and stuff.

02:11Again, start on Wednesday, Canada and Sweden's on Wednesday.

02:14But from a betting perspective, I'm taking Finland at plus 850 to win this thing, right?

02:20There's four teams and anything can happen.

02:23These are all going to be, don't expect track meets either, guys, in this stuff.

02:27It's going to be low scoring hockey games and anything can happen.

02:31They're playing a three game round robin.

02:33There's no semifinal.

02:34They're literally playing a three game round robin and then they're playing a final game

02:38with whoever has the most points in a championship game.

02:41So anything can happen here.

02:43I don't think there's any value with Canada plus 135 or the USA at plus 150.

02:49We'll roll the dice on the fans and we'll probably even sprinkle on the Swedes a little

02:54bit of plus 450.

02:55Crosby's going to play.

02:57Are they just trying to keep up with the Johnson's, like the NBA cup?

03:23No, they're not trying to keep up with the NBA or anything like that.

03:27They didn't know if they were going to the Olympics or not.

03:29The players wanted to go to the Olympics.

03:31The owners didn't want them to.

03:33They ended up agreeing to go to the Olympics.

03:36And this is basically, it's a dress rehearsal for the Olympics, right?

03:41They're not going to have a lot of time together next year before they play for real in the

03:45Olympics for a gold medal, which really does matter.

03:47So this is a chance for them to put the team together, get a little bit of a feel for things,

03:52get the uniform on and then boom, next year, time goes by fast guys, the Olympics will

03:57be here before we know it.

03:58So this is just a dress rehearsal for the Olympics.
