00:00Pat, I am surprised, man, I am, I'm surprised that they, that Missouri didn't get online

00:06for the Super Bowl.

00:07I'm surprised to read over at LegalSportsReport.com that this ain't going to happen by March.

00:12So you know, we're going to start moving the goalposts, so to speak, for them.

00:15Maybe it is football season for them.

00:17Yeah, I mean, we, yeah, so Missourians voted to approve it in November and, you know, generally

00:23that is, hey, it's legal, let's go bat.

00:26But you know, there does have to be all that framework that has to be put into place to

00:29make sure it's regulated and responsible and, and all the jazz like that.

00:34And so the Missouri Gaming Commission, as soon as it was certified, and it took till

00:38December to be certified, because that's how the political system works.

00:43You know, they got to work and they turned it around in roughly two months or a little

00:48less than two months to make sure everything's kind of put together nicely.

00:51It is now in Governor Mike Kehoe's hands.

00:55It also has to pass through the Secretary of State.

00:57They just have to give it their A-OKs and then make sure it's all good there.

01:01And it goes through a 30-day public comment period where you're going to see some operators

01:07and responsible gambling, gambling people come out and say, hey, we need these things

01:11tweaked here and there, and one more final approval.

01:14And then we'll, we'll see the licensing process and there is a stipulation in there pretty

01:18much that can get things live pretty much from the get go.

01:22To your point, that's not going to happen before March Madness, unfortunately, for those

01:26in Missouri.

01:27I missed a great opportunity this weekend that the sportsbooks probably would have loved

01:32in Missouri.

01:33But yeah, I mean, from as soon as it was certified and the Missouri Gaming Commission started

01:38talking about it and then putting it together, they've said late spring, early summer.

01:43So I think, you know, you'll get some good baseball betting in Missouri this summer and

01:47then, of course, get going for the football season.
