00:00And then they made their wide receiver coach hire.
00:17And I had heard a little rumbling about, they were considering two different names, both
00:22of them from the college ranks.
00:24And they ended up hiring Oregon's wide receiver coach, junior Adams, which is interesting
00:29for a couple of reasons.
00:30First off, and the one that I didn't see a lot of chatter about yesterday, he coached
00:34receivers at Prosser high school in Washington in 2007, which is Kellen Moore's alma mater.
00:41He was an assistant for Kellen Moore's dad at Prosser high school in 2007 as the wide
00:46receivers coach.
00:47That was Kellen's first year at a Boise state when he red shirted.
00:51But the other aspect of this, that's interesting for a lot of people, how many times are you
00:54going to say interesting and where's the, where's the bell right over here.
01:00He was the receiver's coach for Cooper cup at Eastern Washington and with Cooper cup
01:05freshly on the block, people are now digging up old quotes from Cooper cup where he starts
01:09talking about nobody's better at getting the most out of you than junior Adams.
01:14I love him.
01:15Oh my gosh.
01:16He's, he's one of my favorite coaches of all time.
01:18Cooper cup is a massive fan of junior Adams.
01:22Are we connecting unnecessary dots here?
01:24Yes.
01:25Could it be, we need a number two receiver.
01:27We need, we need a number two receiver.
01:29It seems to make sense.
01:30Wouldn't Cooper cup be willing to have one of my favorite coaches.
01:33I'm willing to, to sacrifice this.
01:35I don't know if that's going to override the finances.
01:38Probably is not going to, but regardless, the question here about he'll go where Matt
01:42Stafford goes.
01:43If Sean McVay finally pushes him off the cliff, the interesting aspect here, the interesting
01:49aspect here is the fact that the Schottenheimer hires on offense.
01:55He has never worked with Clayton Adams.
01:57Junior Adams is a college coach that they're not connected to.
01:59Uh, you know, Riley is a coach who he coached BB, but the staff doesn't really have connections
02:04to whenever we talk about, Oh, this, this buddy system and Oh, it's the good old boys
02:09network.
02:10And Oh, I know this guy.
02:11So I'm going to hire him or, Oh, he was, I worked with his dad, so I'm going to hire
02:14him.
02:15Schottenheimer to his credit is looks like is filling out the offensive staff exclusively
02:19with just people that he thinks are, Oh, I'm hearing good recommendations about this guy.
02:24Let's hire him or let's do this or do that.
02:26There is a bit of a challenge.
02:28It seems like he's challenging his own comfort zone and saying, all right, I'm going to hire
02:32people that I'm not familiar with just because I've heard they're good coaches.
