00:35The charges state the three, along with five others still at large, were accused of participating
00:40in a riot and possessing knives used for assault during the riot in front of an entertainment
00:45center in Old Klang Road, Kuala Lumpur, early January 29.
00:51Deputy Public Prosecutor Ravinderjit Kaur requested an appropriate sentence as a lesson
00:56for Thiban Raj, while for Jeevan and the other accused, the prosecution suggested bail of
01:028,000 ringgit.
01:04Lawyer C. Aiswarya Devi, representing Thiban Raj, requested a lower sentence on grounds
01:10that her client is the sole family breadwinner and suffers from a spinal injury, while lawyer
01:16T. Mishant, representing the other two accused, requested lower bail as they are unemployed
01:22and one is underage.
01:24The court allowed both accused to be released on 1,800 ringgit bail and set April 16 for
01:31case mention.
01:32Previously, a 48-second video went viral on Facebook, showing two vehicles being driven
01:38recklessly and apparently deliberately ramming into a group of men in the area.
