00:00Hi, how are you doing?
00:11So my home is full to the brim of chinoiserie or Chinese wallpaper.
00:18These two are like pigeons that you would find on a London street but made beautiful
00:24and these two are Victoria crowned pigeons.
00:27Diane Hill is a London-based chinoiserie artist and influencer.
00:32Several years ago, she travelled to China to learn the specialist art form direct from
00:37the masters and is now putting her own spin on the movement.
00:41How do you want to leave your own personal mark on chinoiserie?
00:45Where do you want to take it?
00:47Chinoiserie traditionally was made for, I guess, the super rich, palaces, aristocrats,
00:54high-end stuff.
00:55This was not for normal people and I have learnt that skill.
01:00I am a normal person.
01:01I've learnt that skill and I just think there's so many people out there who really want to
01:06enjoy this and so if I can put it onto a roll of wallpaper that you can just buy at the
01:11shops and you can have a full effect like this and feel just like those women of the
01:1718th century, then that's amazing.
