00:00The House Prosecution Panel hopes that the impeachment trial against Vice President Sara Duterte will start soon.

00:08But they will do whatever the Senate decides.

00:18The House Prosecution Panel respects the decision of the Senate

00:23in line with the timeline of the impeachment trial against Vice President Sara Duterte.

00:29According to House Deputy Majority Leader Lawrence Defensor,

00:32one of the alleged prosecutors of the House of Representatives,

00:35it is possible for the Senate to start the impeachment trial in June.

00:39But if it starts earlier, it would be better.

00:43Since the Constitution provides that a trial shall proceed forthwith,

00:48if we interpret forthwith, it should be as soon as possible.

00:53But since the Senate is an independent body,

00:56and we respect their independence being a bicameral legislature,

01:01we will leave that to the interpretation of the Senate.

01:05According to OneRider Party List Representative Rojco Cheres,

01:09whatever happens, they will continue to prepare.

01:12They will also hold an information campaign to make the public understand the impeachment process.

01:18The impeachment secretariat's chamber is also being formed,

01:22but it is not yet clear who will be counted here.
