00:00The Department of Trade and Industry will intensify its monitoring of rice prices

00:04as the 1.55 peso kilo maximum suggested retail price for imported rice has taken effect.

00:10According to DTI Assistant Secretary Agaton Uvero, they will be cooperating with the Department of

00:15Agriculture and the local governments for their price watch. This is to ensure that

00:20all rice vendors are following the MSRP for imported rice. The DTI expressed their

00:26positivity from lowering their rice prices since the NFA also released their buffer stocks.
