Emerald cotton grower Aaron Kiely, Deneliza Downs, is one of the first growers to harvest this season's cotton crop in the Central Highlands.

I'm Aaron Kiley, we're farmers here in Emerald Central, Queensland.

It's a family farming operation on Denaliza Downs.

This crop here was planted on the 21st of August, a pretty good season around low pest pressure.

We've got around 420 hectares of cotton planted this year and we'll look at harvesting around

15% and then with the rest we're going to grow that on and see what the potential is.
