00:00Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're looking at some upcoming movies that no one seems
00:08to care about, despite the heavy marketing and name brand recognition.
00:17Now You See Me 3
00:32Despite the return of its all-star cast, we don't have high hopes for Now You See Me
00:353.
00:36It's been almost ten years since the second movie, which is an astounding wait for a follow-up,
00:40and we just don't know if the momentum is there for a third entry.
00:43And besides, it's not like the second movie was even very good, earning a pretty middling
00:47reception from both critics and general audiences.
01:00Not to mention that Ruben Fleischer is taking over directorial duties, and he does not have
01:06a particularly strong track record, minus Zombieland all the way back in 2009.
01:10It'll probably make for a passable night out, but we don't think anyone was really clamoring
01:14for a third Now You See Me.
01:24Tron Ares
01:25Disney, stop trying to make Tron happen.
01:32It's not going to happen.
01:33The other two movies have been moderate successes at best, despite their groundbreaking visual
01:37effects.
01:38Well, minus the ghastly de-aging effects on Jeff Bridges.
01:42That still haunts our nightmares.
01:51The franchise returns for a third movie, and a whopping fifteen years after Legacy.
01:56Strike while the iron is hot, people!
01:58But it doesn't really matter, because this movie A. has questionable casting choices,
02:02B. has no Daft Punk, C. has faced numerous production delays, D. takes place in the real
02:07world, and E. is directed by the guy who did Dead Men Tell No Tales.
02:12Let's chalk this one up to a glitch in the system.
02:20I know what you did last summer sequel.
02:32We know what you did here.
02:34You saw that the new Scream movies have been doing gangbusters, and you wanted to get in
02:38on the action.
02:39Just as I Know What You Did Last Summer was born following the success of Scream, so too
02:44is this unwanted movie following the success of its sequels.
02:53This is a direct follow-up to a film that is now 27 summers old, and will see the return
02:58of both Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr.
03:01Try as they might to drum up interest.
03:03Dead interest is just not there.
03:05Who knows?
03:06Maybe it'll be a successful reincarnation of the Dead franchise.
03:08But as it is, this one is floating face-down in the water.
03:18Lilo & Stitch
03:19Oh, yay, another Disney live-action remake.
03:28How wonderfully exciting.
03:30Let's be honest here.
03:31As much as we love the OG Lilo & Stitch, it was never one of Disney's home runs.
03:35But the company has burned through all their classics, so now we're moving into the B-tier
03:40because we can't NOT make live-action remakes.
03:42Yeah, Stitch looks great, but come on.
03:46Who is asking for this?
03:48And what we've seen doesn't exactly spark confidence, with the casting of Sidney Agudong
03:52igniting controversy and drawing accusations of whitewashing.
03:55It was also produced as a direct-to-streaming Disney Plus release, only to be given a last-minute
04:00theatrical run.
04:01Gotta get that cash!
04:02Ugh, we're just so tired.
04:08The Naked Gun
04:09Okay, quick poll.
04:21By show of hands, who wants a new Naked Gun movie?
04:24And who wants a new Naked Gun without Leslie Nielsen?
04:27The icon tragically passed away in 2010, and rather than letting one of his most famous
04:32characters rest in peace, we're bringing in Frank Drebin's son, played by Liam Neeson.
04:36Why Liam Neeson?
04:38Maybe because their names sound similar and they're hoping it'll confuse some people into
04:42buying a ticket?
04:43I'm a funny guy, aren't I?
04:46I'm funny, right?
04:49Yeah.
04:50Definitely.
04:51Plus, as much as we love the original films, that style of Zucker-esque humor isn't really
04:55in anymore, so we're not sure if the new movie will even find an audience.
04:59And speaking of David Zucker, he's not even involved in the project, worsening what little
05:03hope we already had.
05:04It's the same old story.
05:06Boy finds girl, boy loses girl, girl finds boy.
05:10Boy forgets girl, boy remembers girl.
05:13Girl dies in a tragic blimp accident over the Orange Bowl on New Year's Day.
05:19Good year?
05:20No, the worst.
05:22Toy Story 5
05:23But the thing that makes Woody special is he'll never give up on you.
05:29Ever.
05:31He'll be there for you, no matter what.
05:33Sooner or later, you just have to grow up and let those toys go.
05:37That's the lesson that Toy Story 3 taught us, 15 years ago.
05:40Yet, the franchise just couldn't help but betray its own themes, and that gravy train
05:44kept a-rolling into the wildly unnecessary, albeit pretty good, Toy Story 4.
05:49Trash?
05:50No.
05:51No.
05:53These aren't toys.
05:54They're all toys.
05:55T-T-T-T-T-T-Trash.
05:56No no, that's the trash.
06:00These are your friends.
06:04The third entry finished the series in a captivating, gorgeous, enormously emotional
06:08manner, and if it ended there, it would be considered one of the greatest trilogies
06:12of all time.
06:13But now, we're getting a fifth movie in the summer of 2026, and while we're sure
06:17it'll be fine, it can't help but feel woefully inessential, if not cynically profit-driven.
06:21The Conjuring Last Rites
06:33This is supposedly the final installment of The Conjuring, which, frankly, is about time.
06:37While the first movie was an exceptional little haunted house flick, the franchise has seen
06:41diminishing returns, complete with some truly awful spinoffs, and by now, we think everyone
06:47is kind of dumb with The Conjuring.
06:58The Devil Made Me Do It wasn't very good, and it performed poorly at the box office.
07:01Granted, that was in the middle of COVID, but it still speaks to a general apathy towards
07:05the franchise.
07:06And with Michael Schaub's Of the Curse of La Llorona, The Devil Made Me Do It, and The
07:10Nun 2 fame, Last Rites seems dead on arrival.
07:14Give them to it already, and let it die.
07:21Jurassic World Rebirth
07:22It's no secret that Hollywood loves them some easy money, and with Jurassic World Dominion
07:39printing $1 billion, another movie in the franchise was a no-brainer.
07:53This one is a standalone sequel to Dominion, taking place five years later and starring
07:57Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali in the lead roles.
08:00They certainly have an abundance of talent between them.
08:03It's also being directed by Gareth Edwards, who did an admirable job with the 2014 Godzilla.
08:08But with David Cope writing the screenplay and the poor critical track record of the
08:11Jurassic World franchise, we can't help but be a little cynical.
08:17A Minecraft Movie
08:21We knew a Minecraft movie was only a matter of time, but did it have to be whatever this
08:26is?
08:27We received the first teaser trailer in September of 2024, and the internet immediately clowned
08:32it.
08:33Deemed a massive cringe-fest by many, it was harshly criticized for its CGI, nightmarish
08:37creature designs, and that infamous line delivered by Jack Black, who once again seems
08:42to be playing Jack Black.
08:46We can't say it gave us the greatest expectations going forward, even if the second trailer
08:50was much better.
08:52Videogame movies have been on a tear recently, but we're afraid that Minecraft might be

09:16Snow White
09:17Is it too late to cancel Snow White?
09:38Because nothing good can come of this.
09:40The movie has been viciously slandered and criticized from day one, and it seems like
09:44absolutely no one wants it.
09:47Never mind that it's yet another live-action remake, and a remake of Disney's most historic
09:51movie at that.
09:56It's those heinous Polar Express dwarves.
09:59It's Rachel Zegler, her awful Lord Farquaad haircut, and her horrendous marketing campaign.
10:04It's the constant behind-the-scenes drama.
10:06It's the horrific reception that the trailer received.
10:08Basically, it's a whole lot of problems that have permanently soured the public's perception
10:12of the film.
10:13It's all cynical, but this is a historic bomb in the making.
10:21Are you looking forward to any of these movies?

10:43And as always, thanks for watching.
10:44See you next time.
10:45Bye!
