Knife crime: Campaigner Anthony Olaseinde recovers two weapons after they were dug up by dog in Sheffield park

Knife crime campaigner and Always an Alternative CEO Anthony Olaseinde has collected and disposed of two knives which were reportedly dug up by a dog in a Sheffield park.

00:00yes yes people so today I got a phone call from someone they took their dog

00:06for a walk and the dog dug up two knives they said that they were very scary

00:10knives they contacted the police and the police advised that they go and put them in the

00:16recycling place obviously they said that they didn't feel safe doing so and asked

00:22if I could help so I said yeah and I'm just on the way there now to go collect

00:28yes yes people so I've just been to the person's house who found the weapon

00:34so the story was the dog was playing in the park saw something well smelt

00:39something digged it took it out and ran the woman went to where the dog

00:44was and found another knife and then chased the dog down and found the first

00:49knife and she called the police and as I said she said take it to the nearest

00:53recycling place and this is the knife that the dog picked up and took the

01:00Rambo knife I'm guessing that it was hidden for use in the future it doesn't

01:07look like it's being used but how can you expect anybody to walk around and

01:12dispose of one of these you know I wish that the police would see the dangers of

01:17doing so and not put people at risk and the other knife she found was this

01:23smaller one here so yeah again this was getting a bit rusty it looks like it's

01:29been there a long time so yeah clearly they've hidden these weapons hoping to

01:33go back to get him another day and you know she said that she could have left

01:38them there but she thought that it would be a good detail to get them taken away

01:42which she has so obviously I'm very thankful and moving forward I think I'm

01:46gonna give the police a shout and and try and come up with a way where we can

01:51get the knife collected I don't know how that will work I don't know the

01:56logistics but it's something that I will definitely be putting towards the police
