Samuel Kurtz MS reacts to Pembroke Dock Lloyd Bank branch closure

Senedd Member for Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire Samuel Kurtz popped into the branch of Lloyds Bank in Pembroke Dock to see the staff and check they are okay, following the news that it will be closing this June.  He said that there will be no job losses there, thankfully, adding: “Businesses use this bank, customers use this bank, so ensuring that we’ve got access to cash and access to banking services in our towns, on our high streets - really important. 00:00So we had the news this week that Lloyds Bank here on the High Street in Pembroke Dock is to shut in the summer.

00:06I've just popped in to say hello to the staff, make sure that they're okay.

00:09There'll be no job losses here, thankfully, but it's good to know that customers are going to be supported.

00:14How they're going to be supported going forward, that's what I want to make sure is right.

00:18Businesses use this bank, customers use this bank, so ensuring that we've got access to cash

00:23and access to banking services in our towns, on our high streets, really important.

00:27And that's what I'll be pushing for when I'm back up in Cardiff Bay.
