Birmingham and West Midlands among areas affected by Lloyds branch closures

Lloyds is closing more branches across the region as digital banking grows. Customers are advised to explore online and app services.

00:08in Birmingham and across the West Midlands. 53 Lloyds, 31 Halifax and 11 Bank of Scotland

00:15sites will shut between May this year and March 2027, in addition to a programme already

00:22closing 49 branches by October. Lloyds says it offers multiple options for customers to

00:29manage money, with over 21 million people using its apps as their main banking method.

00:36Santander has also announced further closures recently. Nationwide says it will keep all

00:41its branches open until at least 2030.
