00:00I think this concert because we have a lot of surprises of course in store for
00:13everyone and a very special collaboration with Manila Stream Machine
00:19and of course we have a new song new songs to perform songs that we have
00:28produced and composed together as a collective so that's something to look
00:36forward to
00:38Before my second question, so what can you tell us about your new single, New Let's Play?
00:42The creative process and the inspiration?
00:46So Aya
00:48I guess it all came naturally
00:50Hannah is jamming this song
00:52you know the first time we met
00:54before this house, after the march
00:57so we decided to get together there and of course the living area was full of musical instruments
01:04so it's really natural for everyone to pick up whatever instrument they wanted to play
01:10and so Hannah started playing that song
01:12which is something that I think
01:14which is right in the arsenal of songs to sing to maybe in the past few years
01:22so when that was done, soon after we decided why don't we record this song
01:34and it turns out it was an easy thing to do you know to pay for licensing rights
01:40to just record it, we recorded it and we just did it in Barbie's closet
01:48It's not even a joke, recording it in her home, inside the closet, that's the vibes
01:54It's awesome that we have the technology to actually record in our homes
02:00like me, I recorded in my room also
02:02so we had Angie Muzun to mix and master the track
02:08so pretty soon we were just ready to roll with it
02:12I really think the lyrics of the song, they really resonated to all of us
02:18we have different stories but in a way, Paraleng is different but the same
02:26and that song really, when I would sing it also as a cover song, it really would speak to my heart
02:32We know that you've been friends for a long time but while working for Tanaw last year and for this year
02:40Is there something you discovered from each other, whether personal or work ethics wise?
02:48I'll go first
02:50I think we've been friends for a long time and have shown support for each other
02:56but this past year, our friendship really grew
03:00I can say that it became a lifeline for me, these women
03:04It's really, yeah you know, very meaningful friendships, very rare friendships that I'm grateful to have in my life
03:14that I know, you know, sometimes it's hard to go through
03:20but your friends keep you going, your friends hold you up, hold you together
03:26and yeah, so it's too many actually, too many to mention
03:32but yeah, I'm just grateful for the depth of our friendship
03:38to be there for each other, for them as well
03:42For me, one thing that I'm really grateful for about our friendship is that we get to walk together spiritually
03:50and maybe that was, for me, the best part, the best takeaway from this
03:56is because we remind each other that, you know, the talent and everything, the time, the spotlight, it's all borrowed, right?
04:09and we should not dwell in that
04:12because it's really, we're given all these to glorify God in the first place
04:18and I think that leaning on that and reminding each other again of what our purpose is
04:26is what really keeps us going also and what keeps us grounded and connected at the same time
04:32Thank you
04:35Okay, looking back, do you have moments that you miss while you were in the peak of your career?
04:45Whether it's at the gig or meeting other artists?
04:49And what's one lesson you wanted to pass on to the younger musicians here?
04:56One thing I don't miss
04:59I want to highlight the don't
05:02One thing I don't miss is the gigging like crazy
05:05And like the landscape, we're so excited to just get out there after a long period of exile in my career
05:16Yes, because you can work smarter this time
05:22What's my advice? Work smarter
05:25There you go
05:27I mean, work smarter
05:30The younger ones, they know it already
05:34That's something I look forward to
05:38Yeah, and I think, learn to take care of yourself
05:43Because for me, I've experienced before, the guy, gig, gig, gig
05:48You can't rest
05:50So now I feel like the younger musicians, take a rest
05:56But you have more to give after resting
05:59When you're refreshed
06:01You can rest
06:03It's not a, you won't run out of exercise
06:07For younger musicians, it's not a competition
06:11Enjoy each other's music
06:14And when you write or make songs, you just enjoy it
06:20And know the why of it
06:23It's not like, ah, this should be a hit song
06:27What's the trending now
06:30Just be real, be authentic and enjoy the process of making it
06:36Yeah, I wanna echo what she said
06:38It's all about authenticity
06:40At the end of the day, it's really what comes from within
06:44What comes from your heart
06:46Kids nowadays, I think they're more attuned with their mental health
06:52Unlike us, at that time
06:55There was no mental health awareness at that time
06:59So we're cracking up inside, we're breaking down
07:03But we wanna keep it going
07:05Just for the quote-unquote followers or fans
07:09But really, it's all an illusion
07:12Maybe it's dictated by people around us
07:17For sure
07:18There's this race
07:22But it's not really a race
07:24Because we all go to our destination from point A to point B
07:30And we all have our own course
