00:01I mean, is it fair to have pressure on Caelan DeBoer here?

00:04I mean, I guess there's going to be that on every team in the SEC.

00:07But my gosh, I mean, year one, can we give the guy a break?

00:10I know that they lost the bowl game.

00:11They didn't look great in that.

00:13Nine wins on the season.

00:15He can't be a two and done, can he?

00:19I don't think so, but he just got a crash course

00:22in just how much pressure there is when you coach at Alabama.

00:24It is very much like Ohio State.

00:27They anticipate and expect to win every game.

00:31And here he is in year one.

00:32They had ups and downs.

00:33They beat Georgia.

00:35That was a nice win.

00:36They win the Iron Bowl.

00:37They beat LSU, but you lose to Vandy.

00:40And then you have the dud at Oklahoma.

00:42And you lose to Tennessee, which they've lost two out

00:46of the last three to Tennessee.

00:47Alabama fans don't like that.

00:49Compound it with a terrible performance in the bowl game

00:51against Michigan.

00:52So I do think there's going to be some level of pressure

00:55on Kellen DeBoer in year two.

00:57September's not easy.

00:59Again, Florida State will be better.

01:01They play Florida State in the opener.

01:02Some people are coining that the anxiety bowl.

01:05I've seen Ralph Russo refer to that as the athletic writer.

01:09They play Wisconsin again.

01:10And then they play Georgia at the end of September.

01:12So it is a high pressure first month for Alabama,

01:16who I would deem another kind of boomer bus team.

01:19Alabama and LSU in all these way too early preseason top 25s,

01:23they're both in the top 10.

01:25So we're going to see if they can live up to those

01:27expectations next season.
