00:01I think Kiefer and I are at a different point, but how much has it gone up for you now they've

00:05kind of been spinning their wheels for a couple of months?

00:08I mean, every week I come in here and the same question is what's concerning or what's

00:12the problem with the Celtics?

00:13Like that, obviously there is some pressure that comes with that and there's some worry

00:16that comes with that.

00:18And we've been kind of monitoring this, but since they started the season 19 and four,

00:22they're 13 and 11.

00:23There's a greater sample size of them being a 500 around 500 team as there is them being

00:28a dominant 19 and 14.

00:30So yes, there is reason for concern for that.

00:33But I do think when you've seen what this team's capable of, because they've turned

00:36it on before, even in this stretch, we've seen them get back to the old Celtics.

00:39Like they did it in Dallas and granted Dallas was shorthanded.

00:42They did it against golden state.

00:43They've done it in other kind of scenarios.

00:46But every time we get in here and the closer we get to the post season, the more urgency

00:50there is to get this figured out.

00:51Do you, you use the word urgency.

00:54Do you get the sense they have any urgency?

00:56I do.

00:57I do.

00:58I think in the past, there was a sense of confidence that like, we're just going to

01:00find ourselves.

01:01We're too talented.

01:02Chris tops even said it like we are way too talented to be struggling like this.

01:05We're eventually going to figure it out.

01:07And I think there is some truth in that, but now I think there is a lot of urgency to get

01:11this figured out.

01:12Like they feel the pressure, they felt the pressure last year and they just met it.

01:16They met it the entire time this year.

01:18It just hasn't been the case.

01:19And you know, we, we look at all the numbers from past championships and they've all kind

01:23of had similar lulls, but there has to be, they understand like Jason Tatum.

01:28I think was really telling in his media availability last week when he was talking about skipping

01:31steps and after they went to the finals in 2022, they skipped steps and were only focused

01:37on getting back to the finals in 23 and they ended up losing in the conference finals.

01:41So they've learned the importance of not skipping steps yet.

01:44They're still doing it.

01:45That's the problem.

01:46It's like every game they're trying to get away, see what they can get away with without

01:50losing the game.

01:51If that makes sense.

01:52Like they're trying to ease up a little bit specifically on the defensive end.

01:55Like that's been the biggest problem.

01:57And ironically, or not ironically at all, like this is not a coincidence.

02:00The fact that they had one of their best defensive seasons last year and they had their most

02:04dominant year and won the championship.

02:07Like they understand the importance of defense yet.

02:09They're kind of getting away from that.
