00:00In today's speech from Rachel about growth across the UK she has said the
00:03government are now going to be supporting our plans to try and reopen
00:07DSA and create the sustainable aviation hub at Gateway East and that's hugely
00:11positive news. Doncaster Council are going to bring their business case to
00:15the MCA that I lead in the next few weeks then we can work with the
00:19government and Doncaster to run the rule over those sums and then hopefully come
00:23back with a decision in summer about how we can, if we can, reopen DSA.
00:27Doncaster Council are bringing their full business case to the MCA and at
00:31that point we have to do our governance, our due diligence to look at those
00:35numbers, probably do some other work besides about commercial viability,
00:38commercial opportunities, what we could do working with the government, working
00:42with DFT, working with the MOD, working with Ed Miliband's department, Desnes, to
00:46bring in that investment into Gateway East and Doncaster in order to be able
00:50to make DSA thrive and so that's what we've got to do now and that's why I say
00:53this is going to take a little bit more time. I know people are always
00:56frustrated with the amount of time this stuff takes but now we've got the
00:58government's backing we can work with them to look at those numbers and a load
01:01more things besides and hopefully come back with a decision in summer.
