00:00Hi, I'm Lady Ingleby, Emma. And I'm Sir Thomas Ingleby. I inherited the castle at the age
00:13of 18 and so I've been managing it for over 50 years and I'll be 70 this year and like
00:23everyone else at that age, it's time to retire. I think we've, you know, both so loved bringing
00:29up a family here. We've been the 28th generation of Ingleby's and I think sometimes you just
00:35say we've done our bit, we'll retire and we close a chapter on the Ingleby's at Ripley
00:40but it's exciting prospect for Ripley moving into the next, hopefully, 100 or 700 years.
00:47You know, whenever you leave a home, there's always a little bit of sadness but we could
00:51not have loved it more. We couldn't have had more fun. We couldn't have worked harder and
00:55I think that, you know, we will also have a feeling of excitement about what's ahead
01:00for both of us.
