00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. attended the so-called biggest job fair event,

00:06CareerCon 2025, today.

00:10Among the workers who were given jobs are the workers affected by the Pogoban in the country.

00:20Yes, Anna, there's no need to spend a lot and go to different places just to look for a job.

00:28The administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. brought the work closer to the Filipinos.

00:35Today, CareerCon 2025 was held, one of the biggest job fairs this year,

00:41which was held by Puno Ejecutivo.

00:44More than 5,000 jobs were handled by the Department of Labor and Employment

00:49and a private company.

00:51150 employers from different industries were included.

00:57The purpose of this, Anna, is to bring the opportunities and jobs closer to the Filipinos

01:01and to reduce the number of Filipinos who have no source of income.

01:05This is President R. Marcos' statement.

01:07There are a few non-employed Filipinos, but we're not done yet.

01:14Whatever job they hold, it should be called a quality job.

01:21It has the potential to be promoted.

01:25Anna, 18,000 job seekers registered.

01:30Most of the jobs are in the information and technology, hotel and restaurant, and healthcare industry.

01:37Not only here in the Philippines, but also in other countries.

01:41CareerCon 2025 will provide opportunities, not only for entry-level jobs,

01:47but also for those who are looking for a life in the senior role.

01:50That's why DOLE is hoping that many former POGO workers will go,

01:55especially for those who have a higher salary and higher positions in the job fair.

02:03Career coaching and masterclasses will be held at the event

02:07to improve the skills of the workers who are given free DOLE.

02:13As I said before, we will apply.

02:17It's up to us to see if we can get it or not.

02:21Now, we are giving new skills or upskilling.

02:26We are improving what they are already doing.

02:31The job fair will last from 6am to 10pm.

02:40If we succeed, we will hold a big job fair every month,

02:45not only here in Metro Manila, but also in other parts of the country.
