00:00The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines announced their groundbreaking achievement in aviation safety.

00:07In the new Philippine program,

00:10Caab Director General Captain Manuel Antonio Tamayo said

00:14that they have reported a 48% reduction in accidents and serious incidents in 2024 compared to 2023.

00:24This is due to the continuous focus on the safety and security of the air transportation system in the country.

00:31The success of Caab will be attributed to the implementation of safety programs,

00:37more strict aviation operations, and the assistance of stakeholders in the aviation industry.

00:44In 2023, we had so many accidents.

00:49We tightened the oversight there.

00:52The control and the pilots,

00:56we made sure that before we issue them licenses,

01:00they are properly trained,

01:03current, medical, that they pass.
