Hurricanes celebrate first BBL title with fans at meet-and-greet and cricket session on Hobart’s Eastern Shore

After a night of celebrating their first BBL title, the Hurricanes' team members joined jubilant fans for a meet-and-greet and a hit of cricket on Hobart's Eastern Shore.

00:17Relishing a long awaited victory, seven years after the Hurricanes last made it to a final

00:23and more than a decade after joining the Big Bash League.

00:26Fourteen years, it was worth the wait, worth the wait, no, fantastic.

00:32Today fans gathered at Kangaroo Bay on Hobart's eastern shore to brush up on their skills

00:37and give the team a hero's welcome.

00:40One player in particular captured the attention of fans.

00:43Because Mitch Owen hit it a lot of sixes and fours.

00:47My favourite player is probably Mitch Owen.

00:52Hobart Hurricanes supporters have watched the team fight for a title twice before, but

00:56haven't tasted victory until now.

00:59Fans here say it was well worth the wait and adds to the momentum of the Kane train.

01:09So I'm really happy that we managed to get people back on the Hobart Hurricanes bandwagon
