00:00Pay raises are shrinking in 2025, according to a new survey of 300 CFOs conducted by Gartner.
00:08While 94% of employers still plan to offer raises, fewer are offering significant increases.
00:15The share of CFOs planning to raise compensation by 4% or more dropped from 86% in 2023 to
00:23just 61% this year.
00:26At the same time, 37% of employers say they will only offer nominal raises, a sharp increase
00:33from 9% in 2023.
00:36Experts say the cooling job market and slowing inflation have eased employer concerns about
00:42retention.
00:43Smaller raises may not feel great, but something is better than nothing.
