00:00Freeride World Tour stage number two. Traveled last night, arrived in Val Thorens and right

00:07now we are in the ski area and checking all the different possible venues. Mountain guides

00:13are on the venue itself, checking the snow quality, building a snow pit, while ourselves

00:21are checking the judges point of view and where we're going to be able to put the judges

00:25and snow quality stuff at the moment. We're expecting some new snow and the challenging

00:30thing is to decide and to choose the right venue for the new snow and where would be

00:37the best places. So another five venues to check. This is the beginning of the day, a

00:44long one to come. What would be a Freeride World Tour without a finish going through

01:04a river. Japanese style, pretty cool, good memories.

01:34Here we are, bottom of venue number four and yeah, it looks pretty good. It looks pretty

01:55good. Snow has definitely been affected. This is a waste space venue but with the new

02:04snow coming there is a good chance that actually everything is going to be packed nicely and

02:11give a lot of options for the riders.

02:41Little step, technical one. We had to put the rope and help each other for the last

02:51bit of the climb. Summit of Mont Du Pogne, 3100 and something meters and a crazy good

03:05view. Right, venue check number three, right to the top. This is now Cime Caron. Snow is

03:20very compact. Let's have a look down the venue. All right, checking option one, Cime

03:34Caron. It's been blowing really hard from the north so all the entrances are quite dry.

03:41The takeoffs of the jumps are quite dry. There's a bit of snow coming but we believe there

03:46might be not enough snow to make it computable. Back to Cime Caron. Conditions are wild and

04:03with all this wind it's going to be really tough to be able to have the venue set up

04:09just for one window which is actually shown at the moment on the weather forecast. Back

04:16to square one. I think now it's time to find another venue to a lower place and I think

04:23we've got the right one and this is the Lac Noir so see you there.

04:45Cime at work, Mont Blanc in the back, what a day. We are breaking the cone for eventually a new

04:59snow coming and it's better to break it before they collapse in the new snow.
