00:00And of course, you're in the Jordanian capital, Amman, and Jordan is one of the countries

00:04that President Trump has suggested people from Gaza be resettled in.

00:09I mean, how did those comments go down in Jordan, do you think?

00:13I think that they were pretty unacceptable.

00:16Jordan already hosts an enormous Palestinian refugee population of Palestinians that were

00:23displaced both in 1948 and again in 1967.

00:28And while the Jordanian government has been extremely generous and accommodating to Palestinians

00:34living in Jordan, and also providing humanitarian relief to those in Gaza, I don't think that

00:41they have an issue, excuse me, an interest in hosting more refugees.

00:46They also have hosted refugees from Iraq and Syria as well.

00:50And so I think it's a non-starter here.
