00:00Earlier on this week, the U.S. President Donald Trump said the U.S. would, quote,

00:04take over and own the Gaza Strip.

00:07It sounds a little bit like the White House is backtracking on that.

00:11How does it sound to you?

00:12Well, actually, you know, such a statement is ludicrous because President Trump knows very well

00:19that the previous administrations have accepted the two-state solution,

00:23including Gaza, West Bank and East Jerusalem.

00:26And here he comes with a crazy proposal of trying to occupy Gaza and turning it into

00:33another Singapore and what have you. So the forcing of Palestinians out of their territory,

00:41in my opinion, could destabilize the entire Middle East region.

00:45He is asking for escalation of conflict. And of course, you know, such an act will basically

00:54mobilize also the entire Arab world, let alone the Islamic world.

00:59The Europeans have expressed their dissatisfaction with such a proposal because they still stick

01:06to their guns on the question of a two-state solution.

01:09So there is no acceptance by this proposal, except the far right wing of Israeli government.
