Protesters attack foreign embassies in DR Congo over M23 rebel advance

Dozens of protesters in Kinshasa attacked foreign embassies, demanding action against M23 rebels in the country's east. Police used teargas to disperse them.

00:30into the key city of Goma in a major escalation of the decades-long conflict.

00:40M23 rebels temporarily took over Goma in 2012, before being forced to pull out under international

00:47pressure and resurfaced in late 2021 with increasing support from Rwanda, according

00:53to DR Congo's government and the United Nations experts.

00:56Rwanda has denied such support.
