00:12beverage chain said the garbage bags purchased online had come in packaging with wording that

00:17could cause confusion. It said the bags were used solely for waste disposal and were not involved

00:24in the preparation of food. The company said it takes this issue very seriously and has taken

00:29measures to address the matter including a special cleaning process at the affected outlets

00:34to ensure cleanliness and compliance with halal standards. The company said the use of problematic

00:40garbage bags has been discontinued and purchasing procedures are under review to prevent a

00:45recurrence. The company also reassured customers that the raw materials used in its products were
