Billy Ray Cyrus is calling for peace amid some family infighting ... sending prayers after one of his kids accused him of sending a legal threat.

00:00Billy Ray Cyrus and the war that is waging between his family members, and it's really

00:06all over him.

00:07Whether or not Billy Ray actually has his son Trace certainly insinuated that it was

00:13some substance abuse issue, but Trace is now saying for speaking up like that, he might

00:19end up getting sued by his own father.

00:22This is what Trace had to say this weekend.

00:24He said, dad, my message was beyond loving.

00:27I could have been extremely honest about a lot more, but I don't want to put your business

00:31out there like that.

00:33But for you to threaten me with legal action for wanting you to get help is a disgrace.

00:38Pappy is looking down at you with such disappointment.

00:40I can assure you, you should be ashamed of yourself.

00:44I will always love you, but I no longer respect you as a man.

00:47Everyone close to you is terrified to tell you how they really feel.

00:51I'm not.

00:52Get help.

00:53Bringing up the grandfather is quite something there.

00:55Yeah, invoking Pappy's name there.

00:57So it's clear that behind the scenes, even though they have not, Billy Ray hasn't said

01:02anything directly, publicly about what Trace claimed last week, it's clear there is a battle

01:09going on behind the scenes, and Billy Ray, according to Trace, is pushing back against

01:14the things that are being said publicly.

01:16And a lot of this emanates from the inauguration, speaking of.

01:19Billy Ray Cyrus performing there, and it did not go well.

01:23A lot of people were concerned, wondering if he was perhaps on some sort of substance

01:29or what was going on with him behind the scenes.

01:32And clearly, his family concerned enough to post this sort of message.

01:37Now, Trace is concerned.

01:39Meanwhile, his other son, Brazen, came out and said, no, Dad's great.

01:44And in fact, some people have questioned that because Brazen and Billy Ray have an

01:50album that's coming out, so they feel like maybe he's just trying to promote their project.

01:55Billy Ray, the only thing that he said publicly, and I don't know if this is a response to

02:00what Trace was saying, but he basically asked for prayers.

02:03He said,

02:14And the battle now has kind of spilled over between Trace and his brother, Brazen, who's

02:22doing the album with Billy Ray, and it's turned a little nasty and a little petty.

02:26Trace posted a photo of Brazen, who's five years younger than him, and looks a little

02:30older than Trace, and he said, this is my younger brother.

02:34And then he posted a video of himself, Trace, working out, and said, this is what healthy

02:38looks like, and made an offer to Brazen to help get him in shape and to, quote, man up.

02:42Wow.

02:43It is getting ugly.

02:45And by the way, when Billy Ray posted that comment about the pray for my family, he was

02:50also posting a music video, an old music video that he did that Trace was actually in.

02:57So it seems like he's trying to reach out to Trace in some way, but Trace is saying,

03:02yeah, he's trying to reach out to his lawyers, and he's not having it.

03:08I do want to say that I also pray for this family because we grew up watching this family

03:13on TV and seeing them so divided now.

03:17It's really disheartening for a father to threaten to sue his own son is like insane

03:23to me.

03:24I would think he could just pick up the phone and call him, but Billy Ray gives like the

03:29phone works two ways type of father to me.

03:33It's clear something is going on with him and not even just from the inauguration performance

03:38because that was embarrassing, but I feel like everyone's performance was embarrassing

03:41that day.

03:43It's just been years coming, I think.

03:46And again, I really just pray for this family because we did see them on TV and we want

03:50them to be back together.

03:51Well, Carrie Underwood was great, but that's a whole, the whole other, the technical behind

03:55her was, was embarrassing.

03:56And is Miley Cyrus basically just completely silent and all that is her name is Bennett.
