00:00The printing of balotas for the 2025 National and Local Elections has started again today.

00:07Comanec confirmed that there is no difference in the appearance of the two balotas.

00:16The printing of balotas for the 2025 National and Local Elections has increased again.

00:22This time, it includes the names added by the Supreme Court.

00:27The names of the withdrawn candidates were also removed,

00:30such as Chavez-Singson and Francis Leo Marcos.

00:34Comanec admitted that they are busy printing because the delay is three weeks.

00:40That's why now, not only the system provider, Namiro Systems Company Ltd.,

00:45but also the National Printing Office will help in the printing of balotas.

00:51The NPO will not only provide technical technicians and operators,

00:59and will not only provide physical space,

01:03but the NPO was instructed by Comanec that it will also provide printing machines with consumables,

01:11paper supply,

01:13all of which will be used to deliver the balotas to the polling places.

01:22What we did was to make it faster.

01:26For example, the printing of an NPO machine can be ongoing.

01:33It's not that fast.

01:35We can alter the machines assigned.

01:38Two machines of Miru and four machines of NPO will be used.

01:42The target to be printed is 1.5 million balotas per day.

01:47On average, 35 million in NPO and 36 million in Miru.

01:52Comanec assures that the appearance of the two balotas is the same.

01:56Aside from the fast printing,

01:58another thing they will focus on is reducing the number of defective balotas.

02:02In the past, the first printing of balotas was 25 to 30 percent.

02:07The defective balotas need to be re-printed.

02:10There are always defective balotas.

02:12We should reduce the number of defective balotas.

02:15Last time, if I'm not mistaken,

02:17the number of defective balotas was half a million in the 2022 elections.

02:21As you can see, all of these balotas were shredded.

02:26Now, we can reduce the number of balotas.

02:29We assure you that we will reduce the rate of defective balotas.

02:36For now, the first thing that Comanec and NPO will print

02:40is for overseas voting and local absentee voting.

02:43Their target is to finish it by April 14, 2025

02:47with the verification that all balotas are ready to be sent to the whole country for the election.
