00:04after the upgrade of the new Lucena-Santa Barbara Road
00:08by the Department of Public Works and Highways.
00:10According to DPWH Region 6, the project is to pave the 8.6-kilometer road
00:16along with the 613-meter canal and sidewalk
00:19as well as the 222-meter concrete shoulder.
00:23The agency also added that aside from making the trip easier,
00:26the project will also help to strengthen the road
00:29and reduce maintenance costs.
00:32The project also includes the installation of reflectorized pavement markings
00:36and warning signs for the safety of motorists and pedestrians.
00:40The project is being implemented by the DPWH Iloilo 4th District Engineering Office
00:45and is worth P122.4 million.
